"Hi! My name is Vivian Lee... you can call me Viv".
Chef Vivian Lee opened Leftie Lee’s, her first brick-and-mortar, in June 2023. Leftie Lee's is located inside the new Olive & Pine complex in Avondale Estates, GA.
Before there was Leftie Lee’s, there was Foodcation Forever, an Atlanta favorite in the incredible pop-up community. But Viv worked with food long before she moved to Atlanta.
Chef Viv’s professional background began when she graduated from NYC’s French Culinary Institute where she learned to bake bread and pastries from scratch. She went on to cook at several notable restaurants in NYC and Boston before making her home in Atlanta.
Her accolades include cooking at the James Beard House in NYC and winning Best Baked Good in Atlanta Pastry Live. She was selected for Emory University’s Start Me program in 2020 and she won Best Pie at a local farmers market pie contest (Buttermilk Pie with Peaches and Blackberries).
The inspiration behind the name of Viv's first brick-and-mortar came from her then 4 year old daughter “G”, who is left-handed, and who loves to play in the kitchen as much as her mom.
As a queer Korean-American mom, Chef Viv knows the importance of honoring culture and background. She’s known for her friendliness, warmth, and inclusivity. Here’s what a few friends and colleagues had to say about her.
Leftie Lee’s isn’t just a place for friends to meet, or for you to come eat the best croissants in the Atlanta area (so say Viv’s friends!), but also a hub for all types of special events like pop-ups, cooking classes, and more.
Leftie Lee’s is all about COMMUNITY.
